FADA has released retailed car sales of auto companies for the month of March 2025. The report reveals that the Car retail sales in India registered positive growth in FY 2025 as well as in March 2025. Despite challenging environment, most of the brands posted positive sales growth in March 2025.

- Maruti Suzuki at top position with 1,32,423 units sold in March 2025 as against 1,28,465 units in the same month last year, reporting a YoY sales growth of 3.08 percent.
- Tata beats Mahindra and Hyundai to become 2nd largest car maker. The company retailed 48,462 units in March 2025 as against 46,509 units in the same month last year, reporting a YoY sales growth of 4.20 percent.
- Mahindra is at third position with 46,297 units retailed last month, while Hyundai retailed 42,511 units. Mahindra reported a massive YoY sales growth of 16.64 percent. On the other hand, Hyundai retailed sales declined by 4.55 percent.
- Toyota and Kia are at 5th and 6th place with 23,328 and 21,997 units retailed, respectively in March 2025. Both brands reported a YoY sales growth of 18.22 per cent and 9.48 per cent, respectively.
- Skoda VW group reported a massive YoY retail sales growth of 54.36 percent in March 2025. The company sold 9,064 units last month as against 5,872 units in the same month last year.
- MG, Honda and Renault at 8th, 9th and 10th positions, respectively.
- In luxury segment, Mercedes-Benz maintains its supremacy with 1,541 units delivered to customers. BMW is close second with 1,263 units, followed by JLR and Volvo at 495 and 147 units, respectively.
Renault opens its largest global design centre in Chennai, marking a key step in expanding its presence in both Indian and international markets.
