Kia Motors India has been working on the Carens facelift for a long time. It is slated to launch in the Indian market by mid-2025. The updated model of the premium MPV was also seen testing multiple times on roads. Those test mules have given us enough idea of what design changes and interior features are going to be on offer.
Here is what you can expect from the Kia Carens facelift in 2025:
The front fascia of the 2025 Carens facelift will receive significant changes, featuring a fresh grille with new inserts, updated LED headlamps connected by the light bar and revamped bumper. The side profile could be more or less the same as the current model except for the newly designed dual-tone alloy wheels. Meanwhile, its rear is likely to get redesigned tail lamps, connected by an LED light bar.
The interior of the facelifted Carens could not be captured properly, however, it is likely to get new upholstery and fresh colour choices. The biggest highlight will be the addition of new features including a 360-degree camera and the segment-first ADAS suite.
Apart from this, the 2025 Carens MPV could feature a new dual-screen setup, the same as offered in Sonet and Seltos. Other expected features could include ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone connectivity, connected car technology, wireless phone charging, and more.
Kia will ensure the safety of its car owners. The Carens facelift will get six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, parking sensors, and a rear parking camera. These features will be standard across all variants. The ADAS suite will offer features like adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, collision avoidance warning and others.
Beneath the hood, the Carens facelift will hardly receive any changes. The updated MPV will continue using the current 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre diesel unit, and the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engines. The transmission choices will also be the same with a 6-speed MT, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed AT, and a 7-speed DCT.
The facelifted Carens will introduce a new design and new features including an ADAS kit. It makes it obvious that the updated model will be priced slightly higher than the current model. The existing Carens is priced between Rs 10.52 lakh to Rs 19.94 lakh and for the facelift version, we can expect it to be priced between Rs 11 lakh to Rs 20 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
