This year, the Indian auto market is buzzing with the launch of new electric SUVs. These SUV cars will not only be environmentally friendly but also provide premium features and powerful performance. Let’s take a look at the upcoming electric SUVs scheduled for launch in 2024.
Tata Motors is soon to launch its Curvv coupe SUV with multiple powertrain choices. Apart from petrol and diesel variants, the electric version of the Curvv will also make its way to the Indian market.
The Curvv EV will have a design similar to that of the Nexon EV. Feature-wise, it will offer a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a large panoramic sunroof, a touch-enabled climate control panel, and more.
Based on Tata's Gen2 platform, the EV is expected to deliver a maximum range of up to 500 km. Expect it to be priced around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra's new Born-Electric range has been in the works already. Recently, the XUV.e8 was recently spotted testing on the Indian roads, hinting at its imminent arrival in the market.
This EV is expected to offer a range of impressive features such as a three-screen setup and a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with a display. This special range of Mahindra will be built on the INGLO skateboard platform. It is likely to be powered by an 80kWh battery pack with an all-wheel drive system.
Another EV to launch this year in India is Kia EV9. The EV is expected to be available in only fully loaded top-spec trim. Some of its tech features might include a dual-screen setup for infotainment and instrument cluster, several control switches, a wireless charging pad, and more. Caption seats for the middle row could also be offered.
Built on the E-GMP platform, the EV9 is likely to come in both 2WD and 4WD systems. As for the range, it could offer a range of 400-500 km.
The Enyaq iV electric SUV is also expected to launch at the end of this year. The model was also showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo.
Feature-wise, it is likely to come equipped with a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a powered driver seat with massage functions, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, a fully digital instrument cluster, and heated front & rear seats. Upon launch, it could rival the Kia EV6, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and Hyundai IONIQ 5.
