Audi has officially announced that at 2025's World Cup weekend in Kitzbühel, Austria, they are showcasing a highly emotive Q6. This rugged electric SUV concept is based on the Q6 e-tron. Through the images, it can be seen that the concept features serious off-road gear, including a huge lift to the suspension, large all-terrain tires, and a major visual update. Let's get more insights on Audi Q6 e-tron off road concept.
The Q6 e-tron off-road concept seems to be close to the production-ready spec of the Audi Activesphere concept which was shown earlier in 2022. As for this concept, it uses four portal axles that were developed from scratch and are combined into the wheel hub groups at the front and rear axles.
Audi said that these conventional portal axles allow a rise in torque of around 20 to 30 percent at the wheels. With the design update in the concept, it increases torque at the wheel by 50 percent. This might lower the top speed to 175 km/h but it helps the climb gradients up to 45 degrees.
This concept vehicle combines a 160 mm (6.3 in) increase in ride height and a 250 mm (9.8 in) wider track. From the design, it offers a commanding presence and excellent off-road abilities.
The Q6 e-tron Off-road Concept is said to be powered by two electric motors producing a combined 509.59 BHP. It assures both strength and precision across all types of off-roading.
For the design, this SUV features widened fender flares, chunky body cladding, a heavy-duty roof rack with LED light bars, and the front bumper gets a faux grille area with tow hooks finished in silver and a large bracket housing multiple fog lamps at each corner.
