Last month, Citroen India added new features to the C3 Aircross including six airbags. Now, the automaker has updated the car name from 'C3 Aircross' to just 'Aircross', removing its prefix. Moreover, the French automaker has revised the price list, which starts from Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom) while its previous pricing stood at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Apart from this, the SUV now gets a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. Let’s dig more!
With a fresh name, the Aircross SUV features all-new LED projector headlights. Before this, it had reflector-based halogen units. Rest of the exterior profile is the same as the current model including the 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside the car, we get to see the same dashboard layout but with soft-touch materials. The power window switches for the rear seats are now moved to the door armrests from the centre console. Other interior features comprise electric adjustable & folding ORVMs and auto AC with rear vents.
Apart from this, the updated Aircross SUV continues to feature a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch digital driver's display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, height-adjustable driver's seat, day/night IRVM, and steering-mounted audio controls.
As mentioned before, Citroen Aircross now gets six airbags as standard. Other safety features include a hill hold assist, electronic stability control, a rear parking camera, rear parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Previously, the SUV was available with only a 1.2-litre turbo petrol (109 bhp/190 Nm), mated with 6-speed manual and automatic. With the fresh update, the Aircross is now offered with a new 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine which pumps out 81 bhp with 115 Nm. The new powertrain is paired to only a 5-speed manual.
Citroen has dropped the prices for the updated Aircross model. Based on the revised price list, the base model price starts at Rs 8.49 lakh while the top model costs Rs 13.19 lakh (ex-showroom).
