Citroen India is preparing to launch its newest model, the C3X in the market. Taking design cues from the C3 Aircross, the C3X aims to stand out with its distinctive combination of coupe-inspired design and versatile crossover features. It is likely to launch in the middle of this year. Let’s find out what we know so far:
The upcoming C3X is ready to shake things up with its unique coupe-like SUV styling. It will feature a sleek roofline akin to a coupe, rugged body cladding, and an elevated ride height for a crossover appeal. Further, Citroen is positioning the C3X as an 'SUV-coupe', offering a fresh option in the sedan market.
Built on the C-Cubed platform, shared with the French automakers' existing model lineup, the C3X assures cost-effective engineering while maintaining a rich array of features. The brand will provide premium amenities within the new vehicle, including Automatic Climate Control, electric folding mirrors, Cruise Control, keyless entry, and wireless charging among others.
Under the hood, the four-wheeler will be powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine. It is believed to produce a maximum power output of 110bhp with 190 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options are yet to be revealed for which stay tuned to CarLelo.com.
The crossover is expected to launch between June and July this year. An electric version of the same is expected to be introduced by early 2025. When brought into the Indian market, it will compete against the likes of New Honda City and New Hyundai Verna. With Citroen's reputation for value, the C3X may offer enticing pricing for budget-conscious buyers
