To commemorate 10 consecutive production car category wins in the Dakar Rally, Toyota has rolled out a ‘Victory Edition’ of its Land Cruiser in the UAE. Based on the SUV’s ‘Black Edition’, the latest release is exclusive to the LC J300. Toyota showcased the special edition at the Geneva International Motor Show in Qatar last year.
Courtesy of the Victory edition come dark accents throughout the exterior, blacked-out 18-inch Enkei alloys with Dunlop Grandtrek AT5 dual-terrain rubber and rally-influenced decals on the sides. Other signature bits from the Black Edition theme including a grille, skid plate and mud flaps are retained. The black and beige cabin, however, receives no changes.
This special edition is made solely available with the 3.5-litre V6 Land Cruiser which belts out 409 horsepower and 650 Nm of pulling force, and is mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission besides Toyota’s 4WD system.
The Victory Edition LC’s price undercuts the GR Sport model at AED 319,900, translating to INR equivalent of Rs. 72.5 lakh. Toyota imports the SUV with a smaller 3.3-litre V6 diesel engine via the CBU route in India. Prices start at Rs. 2.10 crore, ex-showroom.
