India’s #1
New Car Buying Platform
The Indian auto industry is ready to roll as the four new sub-4-meter SUVs are coming soon. Those cars will come with new and advanced technologies for robust performances to satisfy the demand for mini cars. This is everything you need to know about the Mahindra XUV 3XO EV, Kia Syros, Maruti Fronx facelift, and Hyundai Venue's next generation.
Mahindra is said to be planning to launch the electric version of the XUV 3XO in India by early 2025. Test shots of the subcompact SUV recently surfaced in public, and it reveals the design. It features much differentiation from the fuel version, including a blacked-off grille and stacked headlamps. The vehicle will feature unique dual-tone alloy wheels with copper accents. It will be equipped with a roof rail, roof spoiler, shark fin antenna, and an L-shaped LED taillight bar along its whole rear end.
It is expected to have a dual-tone thing inside, with a piano black surface and copper accents on the inside. For this, it shares a whole lot of similarities with XUV 400. On the inside, it has a free-standing touchscreen with an EV-specific selector as well as a wireless mobile charger. It will be equipped with a 35 kWh battery pack, which is said to give it an approximate range of around 375 to 420 km on a single charge. It is set to debut alongside the Tata Nexon EV when sales start.
Kia India is to unveil a new compact SUV. The petrol version would reportedly be called Syros, while the electric version would be called Clavis. It will most probably surface before the public eye for the first time at the Bharat Mobility Show in January 2025. It will find a space between Kia Sonet and Seltos. The new SUV under Kia will come with an avatar donning the countenance of this brand as well as its share of the firm's signature feature—a frontage face, gracing that classic Tiger Nose grille along with vertically aligned LED lights along with headlamps with split orientation featuring tail lamps placed on both ends running vertically through it.
These will also include inside features, for example, ventilated front seats and an electric driver seat adjuster, and advanced equipment like the panoramic sunroofs the Syros would flaunt. The infotainment and driver display would get a place on a duo 10.2-inch screen. This will come with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Besides these, there will also be six airbags, a 360-degree camera, and the driver-assistance system comprises cruise control and lane help. The petrol version of Syros is expected in mid-2025, with the electric variant to be estimated at around 400 km.
Maruti Suzuki will refresh its popular model Fronx with a new hybrid engine that would make the car deliver over 35 km per litre. The facelifted Fronx will be rolled out in markets next year, 2025. The new hybrid system the company is likely to tag to the Fronx will be 1.2-litre 3 cylinders matched to an even more compact battery pack. This was to eventually power some of Maruti's other coming models into the market too. Of course, you already knew this was supposed to affect the Brezza hybrid as well as the Swift hybrid.
Level 1 ADAS would form a part of the facelift for Fronx. Therefore, lane keep assist and forward collision warning would come in pretty handy in terms of the safety of the driver. The new variant of Maruti would get upgraded technology alongside its efficient hybrid engine that will ensure the company appeals to the eco-conscious driver who aims for an affordable yet fuel-effective SUV.
Hyundai Venue is coming to the world market in 2025. Spy shots reveal that this car is going to sport a new boxy shape, a more prominent bumper, a larger grille, and a split headlamp setup that closely resembles Hyundai's newer models, like the Creta. Hyundai seems to retain the signature shape of its compact SUV but modernizes the exterior.
Inside, expect a more advanced dashboard, rich materials, bigger displays, and a panoramic sunroof as well. That is likely, but all those existing 1.0-litre turbo-petrol, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines can probably stay. The Venue is also likely to come in with an ADAS suite on higher trims. The vehicle will see mass production at Hyundai's Maharashtra plant at Talegaon. The automobile will arrive on Indian roads before the end of 2025.
