Honda Amaze comes with a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. It produces 87 bhp and 110 Nm torque. Two transmission options are available a 5-speed manual and a CVT. It is sure to get a CNG variant in the near future.
The new Dzire now has a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine that develops 80.87 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. It's offered with a 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT transmission. It also comes in CNG which makes 69.04 bhp and 102 Nm of torque.
The exterior design of both cars has been updated so that it looks more modern and stylish. The Honda Amaze comes with a hexagonal grille with bold chrome accents in the new front. It also includes dual LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, new bumpers, and LED tail lamps, among others in its designs including a shark fin type antenna.
The new version of Dzire gets a better look with increased frontal dominance in comparison to the preceding version because of the presence of a large front grille. And there come new LED projector headlamps and LED DRLs. For the first time, the LED fog lamps add to the aesthetics while the sunroof has replaced electrical versions at the top and offers that sportiness to this sedan.
Both of the cars take away space inside, showing interior exposures to provide a luxury experience that offers more comfort and definite technological features.
Honda Amaze includes new features like a dual-tone cabin, an 8-inch floating touchscreen display, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, and even a wireless charger to the phone. It includes an automatic climate control and ventilated seats with massager. It also has 416-litre boot space.
Inside Maruti Dzire is feature-rich with an option of a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto through wireless, Apple CarPlay, and a reverse parking camera. There's also automatic climate control with a wireless phone charger as well as 360-degree cameras. The top variants also boast cruise control and TPMS.
For most of the buyers in this category, safety is the most important requirement, and both of the cars have some advanced features pertaining to safety.
The Amaze comes with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, and rearview camera. Adding ADAS to it increases the safety features, which now also include lane-keeping assistance and road departure mitigation.
The global NCAP has rated the Dzire as a 5-star performer. It has been equipped with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist, and seatbelt reminder. Now, it has added 360-degree cameras and TPMS in the top variants that make it one of the safest in this segment.

The 2025 Honda Amaze, the starting price is Rs. 7.99 lakh and ranges up to Rs. 9.69 lakh, ex-showroom. It comes with the variants: V, VX, and ZX. This sub-4-meter sedan competes with the Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
The new model of Dzire comes in between Rs 6.79 lakh and Rs 10.14 lakh, ex-showroom. It comes with four broad variants LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi Plus. The new Dzire is also competing with Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
