Hyundai Motor India is getting ready to introduce the Alcazar Facelift in the market. The New Alcazar is expected to make its debut around the month of either May or June 2024. This will be the third Hyundai SUV launch of the year, with the Creta N Line set to be released next month.
According to media reports, the updated Alcazar will draw design inspiration from the latest generation Creta. However, there will be some unique elements. These will include updated LED headlights featuring redesigned DRLs, refreshed bumpers, a new alloy wheel design, and a more prominent SUV-like appearance with an upright bonnet.
The cabin space and seating arrangement inside will stay the same as the updated Creta. But there might be small changes to the seats and colours to make it look fresh.
In addition, the updated 3-row SUV will likely have a new dashboard design, similar to the latest Creta. It will also offer the same features including twin 10.25-inch screens, dual-zone climate control, an ADAS suite, ventilated seats, and a panoramic sunroof.
The upcoming vehicle will hardly receive any changes to its powertrain options. It is likely to use the same 1.5-litre turbo-petrol motor and the 1.5-litre diesel engine unit. While the turbo petrol produces 158 bhp with 253 Nm of torque, the diesel unit delivers 113 bhp and 250 Nm torque. Transmission options will include manual and automatic gearboxes.
Prices for the 2024 Alcazar Facelift are expected to go up for selected variants. As for the rivals, the SUV will compete against the likes of MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari, and Mahindra XUV700.
