Hyundai India has fully revealed the all-new electric iteration of its successful Creta SUV. Every detail about its stylish design, features, battery, and range has come to the surface, however, the price announcement is yet to be made. The brand will reveal the price list next week at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Ahead of that, Hyundai has started accepting pre-bookings for the new Creta Electric. Interested customers can visit the official Hyundai website or visit the nearby dealerships.
Visually, the Creta EV looks similar to its ICE-powered version. To make it look unique, Hyundai has used special exterior design elements. For instance, it highlights a Pixalted graphic grille and the charging port has a multi-colour surround light with a charge indicator. It also has active air flaps to manage air flow around the vehicle and improve efficiency.
The EV runs on 17-inch aero alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tyres. The rear profile of the electric Creta has the same tail lights as its ICE Creta, however, the EV gets a new Pixelated graphic rear bumper.
Further, the Creta EV is available in ten exterior colour options. These include Ocean Blue Metallic, Abyss Black Pearl, Atlas White, Fiery Red Pearl, Starry Night, Ocean Blue Matte, Titan Grey Matte, Robust Emerald Matte, Atlas White with Black Roof, Ocean Blue Metallic with a Black Roof.
The cabin theme of the Creta EV is similar to the Creta ICE. In terms of features, it continues to offer dual 10.25-inch displays, ventilated front seats, a digital key, a 360-degree camera, an ADAS suite, and a lot more.
New Creta Electric is available in two battery packs. The smaller 42 kWh battery unit can offer a range of 390 km while the larger 51.4 kWh battery has a claimed range of 473 km. The Creta EV supports a DC fast charger which can charge the battery from 1080 percent in an hour. If using an 11 kWh Wall Box Home fast AC charger, it might take 4 hours to charge the EV.
The electric Creta is available in four main variants - Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. Prices based on these variants are yet to be revealed. Expect the new Creta Electric to be priced at around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will rival Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV and the upcoming Maruti e Vitara.
