One of the best-selling compact SUVs, Hyundai Creta will now come in its electric avatar. The brand has been working on the Creta EV for a long time. The EV has been spotted testing multiple times on both International and Indian roads. Some of its essential details regarding its powertrain, interior design, and launch details have also been leaked.
Here is everything that we know so far about the Hyundai Creta e-SUV:
The overall design of the electric Creta will be similar to its ICE-powered model. Some of the EV-specific designs will be featured, such as a closed-off grille with a front-mounted charging port. The LED lighting will be the same as the regular version. Other expected design features include stylish aero alloy wheels, redesigned bumpers, connected LED tail lamps, and more.
The Creta EV is likely to come with a dual-screen setup measuring 10.25 inches each for infotainment and instrument cluster. Other smart features will include a 4-dot steering wheel, front-ventilated seats, voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, and more.
In addition, the electric SUV is expected to come with ADAS tech comprising features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, Auto Emergency Braking, and more. On the safety front, the car could also get 6 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Electronic Stability Control.
Hyundai is likely to offer a 45kWh battery pack with an estimated range of 450 km on a single charge. The electric motor could produce a maximum power of 136 bhp and 255 Nm of peak torque.
Hyundai Creta can be launched either by December 2024 or early 2025. Upon launch, the electric SUV will rival the Tata Curvv EV and MG ZS EV.
