Hyundai has revealed its all-new Creta EV, with the official launch set for 17 January, 2025, at Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The electric iteration of the Creta SUV boasts a bold design language, new features, and two battery packs. The Creta EV will be offered in four main varaints: Executive, Smart, Premium and Excellence. The company is going to disclose the prices at Auto Expo 2025, but we can expect price range of the Creta EV would be between Rs. 15 to 20 lakh.
Hyundai Creta EV boasts a pixelated front grille and Active Air Flaps for aerodynamics and cooling.
Its side profile highlights smooth curves and bold character lines. The car comes equipped with connected LED DRLs, vertically stacked dual-barrel LED headlights, and connected LED tail lights. Other features includes 17-inch alloy wheels, window applique blacked-out, and a silver skid plate for the side.
Hyundai Creta EV has two 10.25-inch digital displays for information of the driver and infotainment. It has the five-passenger maximum seating capacity, along with ventilated, power-adjustable front seats. There are eight monotone and two dual-tone colours for cabin, including new Ocean Blue Metallic with a black roof.
The Creta EV offers V2L technology, which allows the car to charge devices inside and outside the vehicle. It is also equipped with i-Pedal technology, where the driver can control acceleration, braking, and stopping by using the accelerator pedal. The Creta EV also features a Shift-by-wire gear system, Digital Key for remote access, and a Bose sound system. The safety features of the car include Level 2 ADAS, six airbags, and a 360-degree camera.
The Hyundai Creta EV is available with two battery-pack options: the primary one will have 51.4 kWh capacity and is good for 473 km on single charge, and the other will be a 42 kWh battery, good for 390 km.
The Creta EV accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. It supports fast DC charging, which charges from 10% to 80% in 58 minutes. Using a Smart Connected Wall Box for home charging, it will take around 4 hours to fully charge the battery.
Hyundai also believes in developing the EV infrastructure in India. The company will put in 600 fast-charging stations within the next 7 years across the country, which will help the customers in taking electric vehicles. The myHyundai app will also help users find over 10,000 charging points across India for EV ownership to be as hassle-free as possible.
