Hyundai has been working on the electric version of the Creta SUV. The EV has been spotted testing several times on roads, hinting at its exterior details. Recent sightings have also revealed the interior features of the electric Creta. Get more insights about the features.
The images shared on social media reveal that the overall cabin layout would look similar to its ICE-powered model. The upcoming Creta EV will get a dual-tone interior theme and an integrated twin-digital screen. However, some of the features will be different from the standard Creta. One of these would be a new 3-spoke steering wheel. The drive selector will be positioned behind the steering wheel, similar to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 EV.
Other noteworthy features might include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, and wireless phone charging.
On the safety front, the upcoming Creta EV is expected to get six airbags as standard. Other safety features could include Electronic Stability Control and a 360-degree camera. The ADAS suite will also be on offer, comprising features like Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Auto Emergency Braking, among others.
The powertrain details for the Creta EV are yet to be revealed. However, it is expected to share the same electric motor available in the global-spec Kona EV. The Creta EV to come with a front-axle mounted electric motor, which will draw power from a 45 kWh battery pack. The powertrain offers 134 bhp and a peak torque of 255 Nm. We expect the new Creta EV to offer a range of over 400km on a single charge. The SUV will also support DC fast charging along with multi-level regenerative braking.
