Hyundai Creta has been a favourite among Indian SUV enthusiasts. In January 2024, it received a facelift, and around the same time, Hyundai started developing its electric version. Since then, the Creta EV has been seen testing several times, offering hints about its design and interior features.
Those who are curious to know about the upcoming Creta EV, take a look at the following details:
Hyundai has already confirmed that it will start the Creta EV production by the end of this year. As far as its launch is concerned, it is most likely to happen in January 2025. The South Korean automaker could price the electric Creta around Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom).
Despite being based on the ICE-powered Creta SUV, its electric variant will share some unique design details. The front end of the EV will get a large charging socket, also seen on the Kona EV. Some of its exterior design highlights are a closed-off front grille, updated front and rear bumpers, connected lighting, and aero-optimized alloy wheels.

The previous sightings also gave us a sneak peek of the new Creta EV interior. Based on the spy shots, it can be assumed that the cabin of the e-SUV will share a similar layout offered in the regular Creta. It is likely to receive the same dual-screen set-up for the infotainment system and instrument panel. However, Hyundai could add more premium features like an electronic parking brake, ADAS Level 2 and others.
Some of the new feature additions for the Creta EV could include a fresh design for the centre console and the two-spoke steering wheels with multiple control buttons. There will also be a drive selector mounted on the steering column, similar to the Kona EV and IONIQ 5.
Other equipment list comprises ventilated & powered front seats, a 10.25-inch dual screen setup, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents, auto-dimming IRVM, a wireless charger, and a panoramic sunroof.
The battery details of the electric SUV are yet to be confirmed. However, the speculations suggest that it might get the same motor offered in the global-spec Kona EV. This motor will draw power from a 45 kWh battery pack that can produce 134 bhp and 255 Nm of torque. It could deliver a maximum range of over 500 km on a single charge. Besides, the e-SUV is expected to support an 11 kW AC charger and an 80 kW DC charger.
