Hyundai Motor India has launched an all-new variant for its i20 hatchback. Named Sportz (O), the new trim introduces three additional features over its Sportz trim. For the monotone paint options, the Sportz (O) is priced at Rs 8.73 lakh (ex-showroom) while dual-tone paint choices retail at Rs 8.88 lakh (ex-showroom).
One of the notable features of the newly launched Sportz (O) variant is the addition of a single-pane sunroof. Earlier the sunroof was offered on the top-spec Asta trim. Other equipment incorporated into the new variant are a wireless charger and faux leather finish for the armrests on the doors.
In addition to these, the Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) boasts generous amenities such as cruise control, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, and a rear parking camera, among others. Although it comes with 16-inch wheels, they are steel instead of the diamond-cut alloys found on higher trim levels.
As far as safety is concerned, the Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) offers 6 airbags. Other equipment onboard include Hill-Start Assist, ESC, Vehicle Stability Management Control, ABS, and EBD.
In terms of powertrain, the Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) comes equipped with the tried and tested 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine. However, this engine option is available with only 5-speed manual transmission. Talking about the power output, it produces 81 bhp with 115 Nm of peak torque.
Competing in the premium hatchback segment, the New Hyundai i20 rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Tata Altroz, and Toyota Glanza among others.
The 2026 Mercedes-Benz CLA comes with substantial changes in terms of styling, features and mechanics. Both ICE-powered and electric versions are revealed.
