Hyundai Motor India has launched a new S+ variant for its compact SUV, the Venue. The biggest highlight of this variant is the availability of the electric sunroof. With a price tag of Rs 9.35 lakh (ex-showroom), it becomes Venue’s most affordable sunroof-equipped variant.
With the introduction of a new S+ trim, the Venue now offers a range of essential features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear AC vents, a digital cluster with colour MID, and more. On the safety front, the Venue comes equipped with six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, Hill Start Assist Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, and more.
Hyundai Venue S+ is available with only one petrol engine. It is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol unit that can generate 82 bhp of power and 114 Nm of torque. It comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The new S Plus variant is positioned between the lower-spec S and the mid-spec S(O) variants. The price for these variants goes like this:
Venue S - Rs 9.11 lakh
Venue S Plus - Rs 9.36 lakh
Venue S(O) - Rs 9.89 lakh
The electric sunroof option was previously available with the top-spec S(O) Plus model which costs Rs 10 lakh. The newly launched S Plus, offering the electric sunroof is priced at Rs 9.36 lakh, becoming Rs 64,000 cheaper than the high-end model.
