Kia Motor India has officially showcased the EV9 Electric SUV Concept at the Delhi Auto Expo 2023. The EV9 is a seven-seater electric SUV that is based on the Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) which is used for all its new generation EVs. In addition, EV9 Concept is the second fully EV SUV from the Korean automaker that could generate a production-ready model by the end of this year.
A further enhancement to the ‘Opposites Unite’ philosophy that was introduced with the KIA EV6, the EV9 features the signature digital Tiger Nose grille with a blanked-out panel. It also gets individual LED light modules and a Z-shaped headlamp cluster. From the side, the electric SUV features old-school SUV-like styling with boxy type proportions, sharp creases, flat surfaces, and a large glasshouse area. Towards the rear, there is a prominent bumper with a faux silver skid plate and vertical LED tail lights. In terms of dimensions, the Kia EV9 measures 4929 mm in length, 1790 mm in height, and 2055 mm in width having a wheelbase of 3100 mm.
In terms of interior, the EV9 Concept features a minimalistic design. It comes with a 27-inch screen that provides a split screen layout for the touchscreen infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster. There is also a squared-off spokeless steering wheel paired with customizable ambient lighting that gives this concept a futuristic look. Besides, the electric SUV Concept includes a three-row seating layout with the second row of seats able to fold flat while the first row can swivel to create a lounge-like space. Talking about the features, the Kia EV9 will offer climate control, a multi-charging system, automatic dual-zone air conditioning, multiple airbags, and ADAS safety features.

As for performance, the model can deliver a maximum power output of 325 bhp with 605 Nm of peak torque.
