Kia Motors India is gearing up to launch the facelifted Seltos in India next month. Now ahead of its launch, new spy shots have emerged revealing the expected interior of the compact SUV. Here are all the details.
The new spy shots give us a glimpse into what the facelifted Seltos’ interior will look like. According to the leaked images, the upcoming car model will feature an all-new climate control panel with dual-zone temperature toggle switches. Just beside it, the audio controls, wireless charging pad, 360-degree camera button and the drive selector buttons can be seen. The AC vents have a sleeker design as well compared to the current model. The pictures also confirms the new model will come provided with a dual-tone black and beige interior theme.
While it is not seen in the spy shots, the Seltos is also rumored to get dual 10.25-inch screens, one for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster.
Kia is also giving the Seltos facelift a major exterior update. The new front end will likely feature a redesigned front grille that’s flanked by new LED headlamps. Moving to the side, the compact SUV’s silhouette remains similar to the current model except for the new alloy wheels.
At the rear, the new Seltos will feature vertically stacked LED tail lights connected by a full-width LED light bar and a tweaked bumper.
In terms of powertrain options, Kia Cars will continue to offer the new Seltos with the current crop of 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.5-litre turbo diesel motors. While the brand has discontinued the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine, it is expected to be replaced by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol unit that makes 160 bhp with 253 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, an iMT, a 6-speed torque converter automatic, and a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox.
The new Kia Seltos is expected to be priced around Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom) - Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will rival the new Honda Elevate, Hyundai Creta, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, VW Taigun, and the Maruti Grand Vitara.
