Kia is all set to launch its new Syros compact SUV next month. It will make its global debut in India on December 19. This sub-4-meter SUV stands out with a unique design, setting it apart as a more unconventional offering from the South Korean automaker. The Syros will use the same engine choices as those offered by Sonet.
Kia has already teased the new Syros, giving us ideas about its fresh design elements and the premium cabin layout. With its boxy shape, flat roof, long-vertical LED highlights, and vertically stacked headlights, we immediately recall Kia's flagship SUV - the EV9.
Positioned above the Sonet, the Syros sub-4m SUV will come with more features than the Sonet; however, the cabin theme will be similar. We can expect the new Syros to offer a dual digital screen setup, connected car technology, climate control with rear vents, a powered driver's seat, and more. Previous sightings have also confirmed the availability of a panoramic sunroof. The high-end variants might have a Level 1 ADAS suite.
Kia Syros will be powered by the same engine choices offered in Sonet. These include 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-litre GDi turbo petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.
The price announcement of the new Kia Syros will be made on December 19. Seeing its competition with Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx, we can expect the Kia Syros somewhere around Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom). Stay tuned for more information.
