In an attempt to make its SUVs more luxurious and tech-laden, Land Rover has introduced a top-of-the-line Metropolitan Edition on the Discovery.
Land Rover India today has launched the Special Edition of its SUV, the Discovery. Christened as Discovery Metropolitan Edition, it is based on the R-Dynamic HSE trim and offers a whole host of comfort and convenience features.
Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition Exterior Updates:
Upfront, the SUV is provided with Bright Atlas detailing on the grille that contrasts the Hakuba Silver lower bumper inserts. The vehicle also features a set of new 20-inch Satin Dark Grey wheels with blacked-out brake callipers. Rest of the exterior design remains constant.
Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition Interior Upgrades:
On the inside, the four-wheeler receives a new Titanium Mesh trim detailing along with a host of standard equipment. Convenience features include a 12.3-inch interactive driver display, wireless charging with phone signal booster, front cooler compartment, four-zone climate control and a heated steering wheel. The car also gets comfort items like heated and cooled rear seats, powered seat recline function and an intelligent seat fold technology. New addition to the interior includes an advanced Cabin Air Purification System with PM2.5 air filtration to maintain air quality.
Land Rover Discovery Metropolitan Edition Powertrains:
Like the standard model, the Metropolitan Edition comes equipped with two engine options. The first is the P360 Ingenium petrol engine that produces a power output of 355 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. The next is the D300 Ingenium diesel mill that delivers 296 bhp and 650 Nm of torque. Both these engines come mated to JLR’s 8-speed automatic transmission.
