Mahindra to unveil 5 all-electric SUVs under its Born Electric Vision Program; All SUVs will be ground up EVs based on skateboard EV platforms; Market launch expected by 2025.
Set to unveil on 15th August, Mahindra & Mahindra has teased 5 new SUV EVs under its Born Electric Vision Program. These concepts will lead the home-grown SUV maker’s electric bandwagon in the country. Information about these concept EVs is quite scarce at the moment, however, we brought for you ‘Top 3 Things To Know’ about the Mahindra Born Electric Concepts.
Designed and conceptualised at Mahindra’s Advanced Design Studio in Oxfordshire, UK, under the leadership of Pratap Bose, these EVs will carry a futuristic design. All the 5 SUVs will differ in styling and sport unique silhouettes. According to the latest teaser, these electric vehicles will most likely be SUVs and Coupe-SUVs. One of these could possibly be the electrified version of XUV700. A new signature C-Shaped LED strip light characterises the exterior design of each vehicle.
On the inside, the all-electric SUVs will sport a continuous screen set-up with a large infotainment unit and a large digital drivers display. The central screen will be the control centre for many in-cabin controls and experiences.
The new EVs will get a host of modern tech features including an updated AdrenoX interface for the infotainment unit. The centre screen will offer unique customisation options and act as control centre for seat adjustment, climate control system, ambient light adjustment and music preference among other bits. This also hints at the presence of personalised user profiles which lets owners create custom profiles based on their preferences. The EVs are expected to come with a dedicated sports mode to increase the oomph factor on the inside.
Although Mahindra has been tight-lipped about these future EVs until the 15th August event, we expect the EVs to come powered by powerful battery packs and motor options. The SUVs are expected to offer a minimum range of 400 kilometres on a single charge. However, these are just speculation and concrete information will be revealed closer to production roll-out expected sometime in 2025.
