Mahindra Thar Roxx is all set to make its impactful arrival this Independence Day! Ahead of its launch on 15th August, the brand has released a set of teasers, giving a glimpse of its exterior design and premium features. Now, with a video surfaced online, we can see the full interior of the Thar Roxx including seating capacity, new upholstery, and modern features. Dig more!
The Thar Roxx is quite spacious from the inside as it is a 5-seater SUV. Another big highlight is the all-new white upholstery that we have seen on XUV700. The front seat could also get ventilation functionality.
In addition, it will come with an adjustable headrest for all passengers, a 3-point seatbelt for all passengers, a split centre armrest, roof-mounted rear speakers, and a rear armrest.
The 5-door lifestyle SUV will come with a tech loaded interior. Apart from a spacious cabin, it will get a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the same as the XUV 3XO.
Other highlights include a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, bezel-less IRVM, and a new steering wheel.
As for safety features, it will have standard six airbags, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, and ISOFIX child seat anchors. The Level 2 ADAS suite will comprise features like high beam assist, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, and lane assist.
Mahindra Thar Roxx will be powered by the same set of engines offered in Scorpio N. It will come with a 1.5-litre turbo diesel, 2.0-litre turbo petrol, and 2.2-litre turbo diesel. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic. However, it has yet to be confirmed whether it will get RWD.
Mahindra is likely to price its new 5-door Thar Roxx at Rs 13 lakh to 23 lakh (ex-showroom). As for the rivals, it will compete against the Force Gurkha and Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
