Mahindra Thar Roxx is a more feature-rich version of the original Thar, the older three-door Thar. Features that lacked in the old Thar such as digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats, and a sunroof, are now standard on the Thar Roxx. Interestingly, the brand has also introduced new features additions to the list which make its more comfortable and convinient to drive.
Let's check out the new features offered in Mahindra Thar Roxx:
Previously, the Thar Roxx required drivers to use a physical key to unlock the vehicle—an aspect that felt a bit outdated compared to modern SUVs. Mahindra has now addressed this by introducing keyless entry, allowing drivers to access their vehicle effortlessly with just the push of a button.
For improved cabin ergonomics, the passenger-side front armrest now features a sliding function, mirroring the convenience already offered on the driver’s side. This small yet thoughtful addition enhances comfort, especially during long drives.
Another refinement comes in the form of aerodynamic wipers, which help reduce wind resistance and cabin noise. This update ensures a quieter, more pleasant driving experience, particularly at high speeds or during heavy rainfall.
While these upgrades may seem minor, they collectively make the Thar Roxx a more well-rounded SUV, offering a better balance of ruggedness and everyday practicality.
Mahindra Thar Roxx is available with two engine options. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine delivers up to 174 bhp of power and 380 Nm of torque, while its 2.2-litre diesel engine can produce up to 172 bhp and 370 Nm of torque. Both engines come paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
While the petrol variant is available exclusively with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) setup, the diesel option offers both RWD and a more capable four-wheel-drive (4WD) configuration, making the Thar Roxx suitable for both urban and off-road adventures.

The next-gen Tata Nexon is likely to be based on the heavily modified X1 platform, to get significant design and interior changes.
