Mahindra & Mahindra is preparing to launch a new version of its popular SUV the XUV300. An avid automotive enthusiast, Ganesh Pagar, recently captured a convoy of the soon-to-be-released XUV300 Facelift. They showcased various trim levels undergoing testing by the homegrown automaker. Let us dive further into what these pictures had to reveal about the upcoming vehicle.
Within the test convoy, the base iteration of the upcoming XUV300 was observed with scant camouflage on both the front and rear profile. Noteworthy features included steel wheels adorned with conventional wheel covers and unpainted ORVMs. Despite its entry-level tag, Mahindra maintains a sophisticated look by incorporating blackened pillars. This would become a better option for those seeking an economical yet stylish SUV option.
On the other hand, the premium variant highlights an array of upscale amenities. It boasts dual-tone alloy wheels, similar to the Mahindra's current offerings. Notable upgrades include a larger, freestanding touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster.
The facelifted Mahindra XUV300 will continue to use the same set of powertrain options as the existing model. Therefore it will come powered by a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine option. However, rumours suggest that the upgraded model will include the Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
With the introduction of these new features and enhancements, prices for the revamped SUV may surpass those of its predecessor. Talking about the rivals, when introduced it will compete against the likes of Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.
