Mahindra and Mahindra has once again teased the successor to the XUV300 named XUV 3XO. This time the brand offered a glimpse into its interior and dropped hints about its exterior styling. Here is what we know:
Recently, the automaker released a video previewing the redesigned SUV. The Mahindra XUV 3XO has undergone significant changes, including a more angular front end, updated LED DRLs with a downward angle, and modifications to the front bumper alongside headlamp assembly. The redesigned two-part grille now features a larger central air intake positioned on the bumper.
Towards the rear, it features a completely revamped tailgate with a full-width LED light bar and sleeker C-shaped tail lamps. The registration plate has also been relocated to the bumper from the tailgate. Additionally, it showcases a new set of dark chrome-finished alloy wheels.
The latest teaser also provides a peek into the interior, which appears to draw inspiration from the recently launched XUV400 Pro EV. The centre console is expected to feature a larger freestanding infotainment system paired with a digital instrument cluster. It will be available in dual-tone black and beige interior, similar to its predecessor.
Moreover, features like a panoramic sunroof and ventilated seats are also expected to be on offer. Other potential equipment may include a wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, and a 360-degree surround-view camera system.
In terms of powertrain, the Mahindra XUV 3XO is likely to retain its current lineup of engines. These include a 1.2-litre turbo-petrol motor which can produce 108 bhp with 200 Nm of peak torque. There will also be a 1.2-litre turbo GDi petrol mill generating 128 bhp and 230 Nm torque. In addition, a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel unit will make its presence felt making 115 bhp of power and 300 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options are expected to include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed AMT.
