Ever since its launch in mid-2021, the XUV700 has proven to be an incredibly popular model for Mahindra. Its attractive design, feature-laden interior, and multiple powertrain options make it one of the best SUVs you can buy in India. However, due to its popularity, it also commands a long waiting period that now stretches to over a year. We take a closer look.
The XUV700’s entry-level MX and AX3 petrol variants have a 6-month waiting period while the diesel models have 7 month waiting. Meanwhile, the waiting time for mid-level AX5 stretches to 8 months for both petrol and diesel variants. The top-end AX7 and AX7L have currently the highest wait period with up to 11 months for the former and 13 months for the latter.
Compared to late last year, waiting periods for the XUV700’s top-end trims have reduced by 2 to 4 months. The SUV’s mid-spec models like the MX, AX3 and AX5 diesel had a wait time of 10 months. However, the waiting period for variants like the MX, AX3 and AX5 petrol has increased by 2 to 4 months.
