India's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki, has revised the safety features of the Brezza compact SUV. The company has added two new safety features in the Brezza CNG range and are also offered as standard across the variant lineup.
The Maruti Brezza CNG variants are now equipped with an Electronic Stability Program (ESP) and hill hold assist (HHA). The CNG compact SUV is available in 3 variants - LXi, VXi and ZXi along with the dual-tone option for the top-spec model. These two safety features were earlier offered with the petrol versions of the Brezza compact SUV.
Despite addition of new safety features, MSIL has not increased the prices of the Brezza CNG. The LXi CNG is tagged at Rs 9.29 lakh, while the VXi variant is priced at Rs 10.64 lakh. The Brezza ZXi CNG and ZXi CNG Dual-Tone are priced at Rs 12.10 lakh and Rs 12.26 lakh, respectively, (ex-showroom).
The Maruti Brezza is powered by a tried & tested 1.5-litre K15C petrol engine that produces 102bhp and 137Nm of torque. In the CNG mode, the power and torque output drops to 87bhp and 121Nm, respectively. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. The petrol-only version comes with a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
