Maruti Suzuki has unveiled its first all new electric vehicle, e Vitara, at Auto Expo 2025. Because of that, so much enthusiasm had generated on the virtual platform of launch. Maruti finally confirmed, that they are launching the EV in the last week of March 2025. The bookings of electric SUV are open already.
Now, let's examine the variants, specs, features, and more about the e Vitara, which is about to hit the roads.
The Maruti e Vitara will come in three variants: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. All the variants will have 2WD or Two-Wheel Drive as standard. The Delta version will feature a 48.8kWh battery pack. On the other hand, the Zeta and Alpha variants will have a larger 61.1kWh battery pack. This would be a deciding factor for customers who need range over power. Furthermore, all these variants will feature 7kW AC charging and 70kW DC fast charging.
The e Vitara will come equipped with a myriad of different contemporary features that focus much on comfort and convenience. The car will actually have twin displays showing both an advanced 10.25-inch touchscreen joined with a 10.1-inch digital driver's display. It will be fitted with a panoramic glass roof, automatic climate control, and a wireless charger.
The cabin of the e Vitara will sport a shade of tan mixed with black to give it a duality shade. For comfort, the e Vitara comes with an electric driver seat, ventilated front seats, and reclining rear seats. And also, the rear seats will slide as well as recline for better comfort.
Safety comes in the form of seven airbags and Level 2 ADAS for the e Vitara. Among other features included, forward collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning are in there.
Maruti Suzuki has not yet informed anyone regarding the official price of the e Vitara. However, it has been reportedly said that it might be priced between Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh (ex-showroom). The e Vitara will compete with other electric SUVs in the Indian market like Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and Mahindra BE 6.
