Maruti eVX Production Model Debut At 2025 Bharat Mobility Show

The Maruti Suzuki eVX SUV production model will be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 scheduled to be held in New Delhi between January 17 and 22. The eVX EV was earlier planned to be unveiled this year; however, the launch has been postponed due to multiple issues.

Maruti eVX Launch Details

Maruti Suzuki has stated the eVX will be officially unveiled at the Auto Expo in January 2025, while the launch is expected in the second quarter of 2025. The Suzuki eVX will first hit global markets, including Europe and Japan.

Global Production and Market Plans

The eVX will be produced in India and exported to some international markets, like Europe and Japan. Maruti Suzuki is targeting to produce 150,000 units in a calendar year, with most of them targeted for export. The electric SUV will be produced at Suzuki’s manufacturing plant in Sanand, Gujarat.

Maruti eVX Competition

The eVX will rival the Tata Curvv EV, Hyundai Creta EV, BYD Atto 3, and upcoming Mahindra EVs. A Toyota iteration of the eVX, designed in collaboration with Maruti Suzuki, will also hit the market a few months after the launch of the eVX.

Maruti eVX Specifications

The company will derive the eVX from a new skateboard platform that Suzuki designed with Toyota. It measures 4.3 meters in length, 1.8 meters wide, and 1.6 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.7 meters. Two battery capacity options are likely to be available: 48kWh and 60kWh. The higher-capacity 60kWh battery is expected to give the car a 500km range on a single charge, while the other should go for up to 400km. The eVX will be affordable, and at a high level of localization, the supply of the intended batteries and electric motors will be ensured.
