With the rising demand for electric vehicles in India, MG Motor is gearing up to expand its EV lineup with a more feature-loaded and long-range variant of the Windsor EV. Officially teased ahead of its price announcement on May 6, the upcoming Windsor EV Pro is set to bring smart upgrades to the design, features, and battery specifications.
The 2025 MG Windsor EV Pro will stand apart from the standard model thanks to several premium upgrades. These include:
MG has also hinted at enhancements in the safety package, although exact details will be disclosed at launch.
One of the biggest highlights of the Windsor EV Pro is the new 50.6kWh battery pack, while the standard model comes with a 38kWh unit. Despite retaining the same power figures—134bhp and 200Nm of torque—the Pro variant is expected to offer a significant range boost, from 331km to 460km on a single charge.
The current MG Windsor EV is priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom). With all the added features and extended range, the Windsor EV Pro is expected to carry a slight premium. However, it still promises to deliver excellent value considering the expanded feature list and improved driving range.
In addition to the Windsor EV Pro, MG Motor India has a packed launch calendar for 2025. Up next is the Majestor, the new flagship variant of the MG Gloster SUV, positioned to rival the Toyota Fortuner Legender.
Following this will be two exclusive electric vehicles:
Both models will be retailed via MG’s premium MG Select dealership network.
