As we are approaching the end of this year, many automakers are preparing to launch the latest versions of their car models. The majority of these all-new launches include SUVs from BYD, Mercedes-Benz India, Jeep India, BMW India, and MG Motors. Here is the detailed list of new cars that are coming your way.
The Chinese automaker of Build Your Dreams (BYD) recently confirmed the launch of Atto 3 in India. The price of the EV SUV is expected to be in the range of Rs 20 - Rs 25 lakh. Once launched in November, this will be the second model to be introduced after the e6 MPV by the company for the Indian market. The Atto 3 features a battery pack of 60.48kWh. It offers a driving range of 521 km tested and claimed by ARAI.
Jeep India is set to reintroduce its flagship SUV the ‘Grand Cherokee’ on the 11th of November 2022. After its launch, it will be the fourth model to be brought into the market after the introductions of the Wrangler, Compass, and the Meridian. Unlike its predecessor which was being offered with both diesel and petrol engine options, the New Grand Cherokee is going to come equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo petrol powertrain paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Further it will also feature a 4-wheel drive system on-board.

Towards the end of November, Toyota will be launching its brand new Innova Hycross. This 3-row MPV will be a global model and sold overseas in the markets where it might be labeled as Innova Zenix. According to the official teaser image and the leaked images of designs, Innova Hycross will adopt a very different exterior design in comparison to the Innova Crysta.
The Rumion MPV is likely to get a petrol-hybrid unit and a naturally aspirated petrol engine similar to the midsize SUV Urban Cruiser Hyryder.

One of India’s top-selling SUVs, the Hector is ready to receive a mid-life facelift. The upgraded model will be launched with an improved design and will come packed with features including ADAS. However, the engine specifications will be the same. Teaser images show the new front fascia with a larger grille, a new bumper, and tweaked headlamps. The updated Hector will also provide a new 14-inch portrait-oriented touchscreen which is the largest screen fitted to any car.

Pravaig, a Bengaluru-based startup that showcased its first electric sedan Extinction in 2020 is now releasing its brand new electric SUV. The launch of this vehicle is said to be on the 25 th of November. The SUV features very sharp raked front and back windscreen, twin sunroof set-up, flared front fenders, and rear tail lights showcasing an LED light bar. There are not many details known about its powertrain but the company has claimed that it will provide an electric range of up to 500 kms and would deliver a top speed of 200 kmph along with fast charging capabilities.

Mercedes-Benz India is getting ready to introduce the 7-seated EQB electric SUV by December 2022 in the country. This will be the third EV (after EQC and EQS) in India. This electric SUV has a full-width LED light bar up front and a blanked-out front grille. Power output details are yet to be confirmed for the India-spec model; globally it is being offered in 2 states of tune - dual-motor 300 4Matic guise with 228bhp, and dual-motor 350 4Matic guise which is the higher-spec producing 292bhp.

Gearing up with another model, Mercedes-Benz will be introducing the GLB SUV in the Indian market by early December. It is set to arrive as a CBU from Mexico. The GLB SUV will be the second 7-seater Mercedes SUV after the GLS in India. Inspired by the interiors of GLA, the GLB will provide features like a panoramic sunroof, dual 10.25-inch infotainment system, voice commands, sliding second-row seats to name a few. Looking at the powertrain options, the GLB is likely to get a 190hp, 2.0-liter diesel engine paired to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission or the 163hp, 1.3-litre turbo petrol unit that would come mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
BMW will be introducing the facelifted version of its flagship SUV the X7. The vehicle is expected to be launched in the middle of December 2022. As revealed in April this year, the X7 facelift has a new front fascia that showcases the new split headlamp design of the brand. Talking about the interior, it will get the latest curved infotainment screen including a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
In India, the BMW X7 will also be offered in xDrive 30d and xDrive 40i variants. The xDrive 30d will showcase an inline six-cylinder diesel engine capable of producing a maximum power output of 352bhp while the xDrive 40i would deliver 380 bhp. Both these engines will come equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Revealed in September 2022, the XM would be the second M Exclusive model to be brought in by BMW India. The model is expected to be launched in the country in the second week of December 2022. This M model will come with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. It will have a twin-turbo 438hp, 4.4-litre V8 engine including mild-hybrid tech. Mated to a single 194bhp electric motor, the combined power output of the four-wheeler is said to be 653bhp with 800 Nm torque. An 8-speed automatic transmission will be part of the package. Not only this, XM can run in pure EV mode with a driving range of up to 80 kms.

Lamborghini Urus Performante is the facelifted version of the outgoing Urus SUV. It is 47 kgs lighter and is going to provide an updated 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine which produces 666bhp and 850Nm torque. Lamborghini has already stated that the deliveries of the Urus Performante will be starting before 2022 end.
