First launched in 2022, the Kia Carens has been one of the top-selling UVs in the Indian market. The MPV is all set to receive a major update in May 2025. Kia dealers have already started accepting pre-bookings for the Carens facelift; however, the company is yet to make an official announcement on the same. The report claims that interested customers can book the new MPV at a token amount of Rs 25,000.
The new Carens facelift is reportedly to carry a new nameplate and will be sold alongside the existing model. It will be more premium and feature-loaded than the standard model. The 2025 Kia Carens has already been caught testing multiple times on the Indian roads. It is likely to get new front fascia with resemblance with bigger Kia cars including the Carnival and EV9.
The new Kia Carens will receive significant changes inside the cabin. It is likely to share the dashboard layout with the new Kia Syros, featuring larger 30-inch screen incorporating 12.3-inch touchscreen display and digital driver's display, and a 5-inch display for climate control. The MPV is likely to be offered with both 6- and 7-seat layout.
In terms of features, the MPV is likely to get a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front and second-row seats, wireless phone charging, 8-speaker Bose sound system, and climate control. Other additions could include LEVEL 2 ADAS tech, front, side and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree surround view camera and others. Safety features will include six airbags, ESC, hill start assist, rear parking sensors, and a TPMS.
It is most likely to be offered with the same set of engines including a 113bhp, 1.5L NA petrol, a 157bhp, 1.5L turbo petrol and a 114bhp, 1.5L turbo diesel. Transmission choices likely to include a 6-speed MT, a 6-speed iMT, a 7-speed DCT, and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic, depending on the variant you opt.
