Tata Motors is all set to expand its premium EV lineup under the Avinya series. The automaker will first launch a sleek Sportback EV in 2026, followed by a more evolved and feature-rich Tata Avinya X SUV—expected to hit the roads by 2027.
The Avinya X, which made its public debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, promises a bold design, luxurious interiors, and advanced features.
Here is everything we know so far about the Tata Avinya X SUV.
The Avinya X concept showcases a sleek SUV-coupe design, characterized by a sloping roofline that enhances its sporty appeal. Key exterior highlights include:
- T-shaped LED DRLs and tail lights
- Closed-off grille for enhanced aerodynamics
- Vertical headlamp housings
- Silver skid plate for a rugged look
Stepping inside, the Tata Avinya X concept hints at a premium and tech-forward cabin. The highlight is an all-new two-spoke steering wheel, wrapped in leather and featuring touch-based controls.
Based on the concept version, here are some expected interior features of the Tata Avinya X:
- Large freestanding touchscreen infotainment system
- Sleek, coloured digital instrument cluster
- Left stalk for gear selection
- Central armrest with integrated storage
- Ambient lighting setup
- Dual-tone premium interior theme
The production version of the Tata Avinya X SUV is expected to offer multiple seating configurations:
The 3-row layout could serve as the flagship variant, targeting families and long-distance travelers, and expanding Tata’s appeal in the premium electric SUV market.
With the Avinya series, Tata Motors is set to redefine luxury electric mobility in India. Tata Avinya Sportback is expected to make its debut in 2026. Following the launch of the Sportback, the brand will introduce the Tata Avinya X SUV, which is currently in development and likely to arrive soon after (in 2027).
