2025 Mahindra Bolero Bold New Design Revealed in Latest Spy Shots

Mahindra is gearing up to bring a fresh new version of the Bolero Neo to the Indian market. The SUV has been spotted multiple times on Indian roads during testing. The latest sighting gives us the clearest look yet, as the test mule appears to be close to the production-ready version. While an official launch date is yet to be announced, the 2025 Bolero Neo is expected to be revealed on August 15, 2025.

New Mahindra Bolero Neo - Design Inspired by Defender

The upcoming Bolero Neo gets a significant design upgrade. It features new circular LED headlamps, which might be paired with C-shaped LED DRLs—similar to what we’ve seen on the Thar Roxx and the upcoming 3-door Thar. The signature
Mahindra vertical grille remains, and the lower bumper seems to house LED fog lamps.

The SUV carries a boxy and rugged profile, giving it a strong SUV appeal. In fact, the overall design seems inspired by the Land Rover Defender. Chunky plastic side cladding, a boot-mounted spare wheel, and a new set of alloy wheels (spotted using XUV700 rims) further boost its aggressive stance. Flush-fitting door handles also add a modern touch.

Updated Features and Safety Tech

The 2025 Bolero Neo is expected to get several new features, including:

- Touchscreen infotainment with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- USB ports for mobile charging
- Automatic climate control
- Cruise control

On the safety front, Mahindra is likely to offer:

- Six airbags
- Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD)
- Electronic stability control (ESC)
- Traction control
- Cruise control

Built on Mahindra’s New Flexible Architecture

The new Bolero Neo will be based on Mahindra’s New Flexible Architecture (NFA) platform. This modern monocoque chassis is designed to reduce weight and support both hybrid and electric powertrains. Mahindra plans to manufacture around 1.2 lakh units using this platform at its Chakan facility.

The shift to the NFA platform also helps Mahindra comply with the upcoming CAFE 3 emission regulations, which will come into effect by 2027.
