After making waves with the launch of two all-new BE 6e and XEV 9e electric SUVs, Mahindra is ready to bring its next product to the market. The homegrown automaker is working on the XUV-700-based model which will be called XEV 7e. Expected to launch in 2025, the XEV 7e will be in-line with the XEV 9e.
Visually, the new XEV 7e looks pretty similar to the XEV 9e, which launched recently at Rs 21.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Based on the leaked images, the Mahindra XEV 7e highlights a blanked-off front grille, like any other electric car. It has triangular LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs, and LED light bars. Besides, the XUV 700 EV features contrast-coloured ORVMs, flush-fitting door handles, and fresh alloy wheels in dual-tone.
Feature-wise, the 2025 XEV 7e is expected to offer a three-screen setup, similar to the XEV 9e. However, it could get a third-row seating which is not available in XEV 9e.
It might also have dual-tone 2-spoke steering wheels, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lights, powered front seats with memory function, and a powered tailgate. The electric SUV could also get drive modes, a Level 2 ADAS suite, and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
As of now, only the design images have come to the surface. The specifications of the new Mahindra XEV 7e are yet to be revealed. However, we can expect it to get two battery packs with a capacity of 59 kWh and 79 kWh, paired to both single and dual electric motor setups. Stay tuned for more details.
