Maruti Suzuki is about to launch the new-generation Dzire in the Indian market. It is expected to arrive by September 2024 with a fresh look and new features. The compact sedan has also been spied several times, hinting at its design and interior features including a segment-first feature such as a single-pane sunroof. Let's dig more!
The upcoming Dzire is most likely to have a similar interior as the new Swift. However, the automaker might offer a dual-tone (Black & Beige) interior theme to distinguish it from the latest Swift which comes with an all-black interior theme.
In addition, the next-gen Dzire is expected to offer a single-pane sunroof, as shown in spy shots previously. It will be the first compact sedan to receive this functionality as its competitors, i.e., Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze do not offer a sunroof. A 360-degree camera could also be introduced with the upcoming compact sedan.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire will share the same HEARTECT architecture as the 2024 Swift. Moreover, it will use the all-new Z-Series engine offered in the latest Swift. Powered by the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder engine, it can produce 81 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, paired to either a 5-speed manual or automated manual transmission.
The current model of the Dzire is priced at Rs 6.56 lakh (ex-showroom). For the next-gen model, the company could increase the price as it will be offered with new design and segment-first features. We can expect it to cost somewhere at Rs 7 lakh for the lower variant and Rs 10 lakh for the top-spec model.
