MG Motors is preparing to launch two highly anticipated electric vehicles in India. These include a compact MPV and a 5-door SUV. Both will be based on the advanced E260 EV platform. With a strong emphasis on electric vehicles, the British automaker aims to redefine city driving and outdoor exploration, offering a mix of sustainability, style, and advanced technology to Indian consumers.
According to media reports, MG will introduce its first electric MPV by March 2025, signalling a big move in the electric vehicle segment. This will be inspired by the Wuling Cloud EV, while the manufacturer currently sells in Indonesia. The vehicle in particular is known for its upmarket looks and EV-type exterior styling. The aim of the product introduction is simple to provide practicality and innovation.
Featuring the latest technology, the Wuling Cloud EV measures 4.3 metres in length offering a wheelbase of 2.7 metres. It is fitted with a powerful 50.6 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 505 kms on a single full charge. As for the interior, one can expect a futuristic dashboard layout followed by premium upholstery, loads of space for its occupants and features that would attract many towards it.
MG is believed to be adding a stylish 5-seater SUV to its electric model lineup. It will be based on the same platform as the Baojun Yep Plus. This new SUV will help bridge the gap between the Comet EV and the ZS EV, giving potential buyers more options. With this expansion, the British automobile brand is leading the charge towards a greener and more innovative future for Indian consumers.
