Japanese auto giant Toyota is slated to unveil the next-gen Vellfire globally next month. And now ahead of its official debut, images of the luxury MPV have been leaked online revealing its exterior and interior design. The new third-gen Vellfire will be based on the recently showcased Lexus LM. Here is everything we know.
As seen in the images, the silhouette of the new Toyota Vellfire is similar to the Lexus LM. However, the Toyota model features a few unique elements. The front end gets a large horizontally-slatted grille flanked by slim LED headlights. The bumper houses the LED fog lamps with vertical chrome surrounds.
Moving to the side, it gets a typically MPV-ish profile with a short bonnet that’s followed by a long and large window line with chrome surrounds. At the rear, the Vellfire gets full LED tail lights connected by a full-width LED light bar.

Talking about the interior, we can now confirm that the third-gen Vellfire will be offered in a 6-seat layout with airline-style reclining seats for the second row. In terms of features, the luxury MPV will get a large infotainment system, fully digital instrument cluster, wireless charging at the rear, a 23-speaker audio system, dual sunroofs, reading lights, ambient lighting and more.
The new Vellfire will be offered with the same 2.5-litre hybrid motor as the existing model. However, this time we can expect an increased power output of 264 bhp and 204 Nm. Transmission duties are handled by an e-CVT automatic gearbox.
While Toyota is yet to confirm any details, expect the brand to launch the new Vellfire in India by late-2023 or early-2024. The automaker currently sells the second-gen model which is priced at Rs 96.55 lakh (ex-showroom).
