Skoda dropped the first teaser of its three-row EV SUV when announcing the brand's financial results for 2024. This electric SUV is expected to be the automaker's global flagship model. The SUV is based on the 2022 Vision 7S concept which would be positioned as the brand's most expensive offering yet. This first-ever teaser shows some exterior features of this upcoming all-new-seven-seater electric SUV.
For more insights on the teaser, continue reading the article.
In the teaser, we can see a few elements like a connected light bar in front, stacked tail lamps, coupe SUV stance, and headlights. It looks quite similar to the other cars offered by automakers, such as the Enyaq and the Elroq. The butterfly-inspired grille in the teaser of this production-spec three-row electric SUV looks similar to the Vision 7S concept.
As for the powertrain specification of the upcoming electric SUV, the automaker is tight-lipped. The vehicle is likely to be based on the MEB EV platform and could offer a dual-motor setup in the top variant, as a single motor is expected for the entry-level model.
The brand promised a range of 600 km (WLTP) for the Vision 7S concept, so it will be interesting to see if it delivers that number in the production model.
It is quite early to make any assumptions on the India launch of this all-new-seven-seater EV, however, the automaker has a bigger scheme of things planned for the Indian market.
