Tata Motors has revealed that the Altroz EV is set to be included in their vehicle lineup by 2025. The launch of the EV was postponed during the year as it was being overshadowed by the introduction of other Tata electric cars such as Tiago.ev, Tigor.ev, Nexon.ev, and the Punch.ev.
Now, it is believed that the upcoming Tata Altroz EV could be unveiled at 2025 Delhi Auto Expo and will share some of its design and features with the recently launched Punch.ev.
The new Altroz EV is going to look quite different from the regular Altroz when it hits the Indian market. It will highlight a modern Tata design with sleeker-looking headlights, LED daytime running lights, and a stylish set of alloy wheels. Inside, there could be a large touchscreen and a new steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo.
Just like Punch.ev, the electric version of the Tata Altroz is likely to have two battery pack options. However, there are no further details available regarding its performance figures and pricing.
As a premium electric hatchback, it will face no direct competition for the time being. However, with multiple brands like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Toyota, Kia among others venturing into the electric hatchback space competitors are bound to arise in the near future.
