Tata Motors has officially launched its Altroz i-CNG variant at an introductory price of Rs 7.55 lakh (ex-showroom). Interestingly, this is the first CNG-powered hatchback to offer a sunroof. The just-launched Tata Altroz i-CNG is available in 6 variants. These include XE, XM+, XM+(S), XZ, XZ+(S), and XZ+O(S). As for the colour options, customers can choose from 4 mono-tone paint jobs; Arcade Grey, Avenue White, Opera Blue, and Downtown Red. 2023 Tata Altroz iCNG comes powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine with a CNG mode. The engine is mated to only a 5-speed manual transmission. In terms of performance, the petrol mill develops 85 bhp with 113 Nm of torque whereas the CNG trim delivers 76 bhp and 97 Nm torque.
As far as features go, the Altroz iCNG is similar to the Altroz petrol. It comes equipped with the same 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system offering Android Auto & Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charger, an air purifier, automatic headlamps, and more. Besides these, a few new things have been added to the cabin like a single-pane sunroof and voice-activated commands.
The starting price of Tata Altroz iCNG is set at Rs 7.55 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant, XE while for the top-spec trim, XZ+O(S) costs Rs 10.55 lakh (ex-showroom). It rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno CNG and Toyota Glanza CNG.
