Tata Motors has once again made a mark in vehicle safety with the new Tata Curvv coupe SUVs, both ICE and EV, achieving an impressive 5-star rating in the Bharat National Car Assessment Programme (BNCAP). This accomplishment reinforces Tata's focus on safety across its lineup.
In the coupe SUV market, the Tata Curvv ICE stands as the main rival to the Citroen Basalt. However, in the BNCAP tests, the Citroen Basalt slightly fell short, receiving a 4-star safety rating. This makes it the first car to miss the coveted 5-star rating in the program, a fact that stands out even more since Tata’s recent models like the Punch EV, Harrier, and Safari have consistently secured top ratings.
While there is a significant price difference between the Tata Curvv ICE and the Citroen Basalt, Tata’s unwavering commitment to safety gives the Curvv a distinct edge. With its sturdy build and advanced safety features, the Curvv ICE proves to be a strong contender for buyers who prioritise safety and performance.
In addition to the Curvv ICE, the Tata Curvv EV also secured a 5-star rating, further showcasing Tata’s dedication to safety in both traditional and electric vehicles. The Curvv EV offers an environmentally friendly alternative without compromising on safety or modern technology, making it an attractive option for buyers seeking both sustainability and top-notch protection.
