Tata Curvv, one of the upcoming hot car launches, has been already unveiled a few days ago. The price announcement of the EV variant will be made on August 7. As we are getting closer to its launch, numerous details have come up online regarding its bookings, battery packs, range, and safety ratings.
Tata Motors has not revealed the exact launch date for the ICE version of the Curvv SUV Coupe. However, media reports suggest that the prices of the ICE model will be revealed in the first week of September.
The official bookings of the Tata Curvv EV have not opened, however the unofficial bookings have begun. Interested customers can visit their nearby dealership to book their Curvv coupe SUV by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000.
Similar to Punch EV, the upcoming Curvv EV will be based on Tata's new Acti.ev platform. The EV will be powered by two battery packs. While the lower variant battery is still under wraps, the high-end model will get a 55 kWh battery pack. This battery unit will be paired with a single electric motor mounted on the front axle. It is believed to offer the claimed range of 600 km on one full charge.
As per media reports, the Tata Curvv ICE and Curvv EV went through a crash test conducted by Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP. Both models have reportedly receive 5-star safety ratings in both crash tests.
As for the safety suite, the Curvv will be offered with six airbags, a 360-degree surround view camera, front & rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, ESP & traction control, all 4 disc brakes, a tyre pressure monitoring system and electronic parking brake with auto hold function. The Curvv EV will also receive Level 2 ADAS tech with features like adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, lane assist, blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking and others.
Tata is likely to price the electric Curvv at Rs 20 lakh while its ICE version could be priced at Rs 10.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
