Tata Motors wants to disrupt the mid-size SUV segment with the launch of Curvv SUV coupe. The electric avatar of the Curvv was priced aggressively at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The same will happen for its ICE-powered variant which is scheduled to launch on September 2. Details regarding design and features have already come out. The curiosity lies in the pricing which we will discuss here.
The upcoming Tata Curvv ICE will undercut most of its rivals which include popular midsize SUVs such as Tata Nexon, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and Skoda Kushaq.
The starting price of the petrol-powered Nexon stands at Rs 7.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 14.99 lakh. While its diesel variant price starts from Rs 9.99 lakh and reaches by Rs 15.79 lakh for the top model.
For the upcoming Curvv SUV coupe, we expect it to be priced at least Rs 2-3 lakh more than the Nexon SUV. For instance, the petrol-powered Curvv could be priced at around Rs 10 lakh while its diesel-powered variant is expected to be priced at Rs 12 lakh.
In fact, the upcoming Curvv ICE could also undercut the Hyundai Creta by around Rs 50,000, making it the smartly priced SUV coupe in the market. The top-end variant of the Curvv SUV Coupe is likely to cost around 18 lakh.

Tata Curvv ICE variant will come with Nexon's sources 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol, 1.2-litre GDi turbo petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engine choices. The power output of these three engines are 118bhp/170Nm, 123bhp/225Nm, and 117bhp/260Nm. Both petrol and diesel variants will get a dual-clutch automatic (DCA) transmission.
