Tata Motors has finally revealed its much-anticipated Curvv with both ICE and electric variants. However, the brand has only revealed the exterior design of both cars. The interior design and features are yet to be revealed. Due to its stylish body design, it will be a direct rival to the upcoming Citroen Basalt. The price for the new Curvv will be announced on 7th August 2024.
The recently unveiled Curvv introduces a new design language to set it apart from other Tata cars. The ICE Curvv gets a front grille with smaller horizontal elements while its electric model features a nose-mounted charging flap, similar to the Tata Punch EV. Its lower bumper portation has some vertical design elements as well.
Other exterior features include a coupe-like design, squarish wheel arches, flush door handles, a shark fin antenna, prominent black cladding, 5-spoke alloy wheels with a petal-like design, and wraparound LED tail lights.
Despite being an innovative addition to the brand's portfolio, it gets the same cabin layout available in Tata Nexon. Although Tata has not revealed the interior details, we can expect a range of features such as a 4-spoke steering wheel, ventilated front seats, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, a panoramic sunroof, and multi-colour ambient lighting.
On the safety front, the new Curvv gets six airbags, a 360-degree camera with bling spot monitoring, front & rear parking sensors, and more. A Level 2 ADAS is also on offer.
The Curvv is available in both ICE-powered and electric models. The ICE version is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine options. While the petrol unit can produce 123 bhp and 225 Nm, the diesel mill delivers 113 bhp and 260 Nm of torque. As for the transmission, it is available with a standard 6-speed manual and DCT gearbox. Meanwhile, the electric Curvv is likely to get two battery packs, offering a range of over 500 km on a single charge.
