The homegrown automaker, Tata has been testing the Harrier EV for a long time now, so we can assume that the launch could be soon. The EV has been spotted ahead of its launch in camouflage. Based on the new spy shots, we can see a fresh design for alloy wheels and other differences from one showcased at Auto Expo 2025. This could be the mid-level variant flagship model of the EV.
Let's have a closer look at what changes it comes with and what to expect.
The Harrier EV that we showed at the auto event was the top-spec trim. The closed-off grill at the front confirmed that the model is, in fact, an EV and not a petrol one. Apart from that, this is expected to be a mid-level variant of the Harrier EV because it has a different wheel design. The wheel design looks quite similar to the Adventure Plus trim of the Harrier ICE, but we added a twist of a monotone Black shade finish.
The top-spec variant of the EV will come with 19-inch alloy wheels and likely with 245-section tires.
As for the interior and features of the Harrier EV, it is yet to be confirmed by the brand. For now, through reports and claims, we can expect the same 12.3-inch free-standing infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, and more.
Tata will be marking a paradigm shift in the Indian electric vehicle market with the Harrier EV. This vehicle could be one of the first-ever vehicles to come with a twin-motor setup. As of now, the overall specs of the vehicle have not been announced yet it is possible to have a torque of around 500 Nm.
The new EV version of the Tata Harrier is likely to have an AWD system for a lot better performance than the on-sale model.
