Tata Nexon has been one of the best-selling products since it launched back in 2017. Over the years, the subcompact SUV did get a few tweaks here and there but now the homegrown automaker is ready to overhaul the design with a facelifted version. As per a recent leaked patent filed by Tata Motors, Nexon Facelift is expected to get touch-based HVAC controls, inspired by the Tata Curvv Concept. Let’s get into more details:
The manufacturer has patented a new hybrid touch-based aircon panel that will be offered in the Nexon Facelift. This design was previously featured in the Tata Curvv Concept that was showcased during the Delhi Auto Expo 2023. As per the leaked patent, the new aircon will get toggle switches on the ends; one for AC fan speed and another one for temperature control. Plus, between these switches, there will be a touch-sensitive sliding blower motor control.
Furthermore, the panel will provide a set of touch controls. The top set of controls will operate functions like fog lamps, sports mode, a 360-degree camera, tailgate control, and hazard light. While the set of controls on the bottom will include elements like air circulation, traction control, front & rear windscreen defogger, AC off, air direction control, and auto climate control.
The upcoming 2023 Tata Nexon is likely to offer an upgraded interior. As spotted in the spy images earlier, the vehicle is likely to come equipped with a new instrument cluster alongside a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, new upholstery, a new gear lever, and a two-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls.
It is said that the facelifted Nexon might arrive on the market by August 2023. However, its pricing could be higher due to its extensive updates. Besides, the four-wheeler will have a number of competitors including the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Mahindra XUV300.
