In new report coming in, Maruti Suzuki is expected to launch its own version of the Toyota Innova Hycross before the end of 2023. According to reports, Toyota is expected to showcase the new C-MPV at start of November 2022, with a market launch before Q1 2023.
Like the other products from the partnership, Maruti’s rebadged Innova Hycross will feature some distinct exterior styling elements. This includes a new front grille, redesigned headlights and bumpers, and an updated rear end. The insides of the upcoming MPV will have differences as well like different interior shades and trim differences between both models.
The new Maruti MPV will share the Innova Hycross’ powertrain options with choice for a petrol-hybrid unit and a 2-litre NA petrol unit. The motor will feature a heavily localised Toyota Hybrid system which will keep the costs low.

The Toyota-Maruti alliance started in 2017 and since then, vehicles like the Baleno and Brezza were rebadged as the Toyota Glanza and Urban Cruiser in India. While the latest duo, the Urban Cruiser Hyryder and the Grand Vitara are built in Toyota’s Bidadi plant, they are Maruti products.
