VinFast VF 3 made its global debut in January 2024. Now, the Vietnamese EV maker has revealed the specifications for the compact electric SUV. Bookings for the EV started earlier this month. The company claims to have recorded over 27,000 bookings in just 66 hours.
In terms of dimensions, the VF 3 is 3190 mm long, 1679 mm wide, and 1622 mm tall with a wheelbase of 2075 mm.
Talking about the powertrain, the VF 3 comes with a rear-mounted electric motor. This can produce a maximum power of 41 bhp with 110 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0-50 kph in just 5.3 seconds, claimed by the company. Plus, the motor takes power by an 18.64 kWh lithium-ion battery which can offer a maximum range of 210 km on a single charge. Using a fast charger, the electric SUV can be charged 10-70 percent in 36 minutes.
The Vietnamese EV maker had also filed a design patent for the VF 3 in India. However, its launch in the Indian market is yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, the brand is planning to enter the Indian market with a compact SUV (VG e34) and a crossover hatchback (VF 5). Both models will be brought here as Completely Built Import models. Expect these models to arrive by the second half of FY2025.
